Lead Testing in Philadelphia
Lead Safe Testing
You can not see lead, but we can detect it
As of October 1 2020, landlords in Philadelphia are required to certify their property as lead safe or lead free if your property was built before 1978. Recently the city of Philadelphia established a two year phase in which properties need to be tested for lead upon entering or renewing a lease or renewing a rental license. Read more here.
As revealed by studies, lead poisoning can have irreversible consequences for pregnant women and children under the age of 7.
For this reason, we want to make sure every child is protected from the effects of lead poisoning. Our company’s goal is to provide quality and affordable lead safe testing services for property owners, landlords and property managers. We are certified by the EPA to do lead dust sampling.
Requirements for lead safe inspections:
Visual Inspection: Our technicians will inspect your property for paint chips, dust and paint that is chipping, peeling or chalking. After a thorough inspection, if the paint is intact our technicians will proceed to take dust sampling.
Dust Sampling: Our technicians will take two samples per bedroom and two samples from a common area as required by the EPA.
Lab Analysis: Your samples will be sent individually to an EPA approved lab. Not all together as some companies may do. As a result, you will know which specific room failed and not have to retest the entire house or apartment.
